Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Sheet Metal Workers International Association is looking for 20 apprentices.

The Association will be recruiting for sheet metal worker apprentices until July 2012.

Until then, applications will be available at Local Union # 58, Pulaski Street, Syracuse, NY from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., on the first Monday of every month, excluding legal holidays.

The Committee requires that applicants:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) as recognized by local authorities-require signed document attached to the application and a copy of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have one year of Algebra, Math I or first year high school Regent's math.
  • Must be physically able to perform the work required as determined by the signed affidavit as submitted by an applicant that includes working with extreme heights, hard physical labor and confined space.
