Sheriff Deputies Stop Early Morning Burglary Attempt In Marcy

Town of Marcy, NY (WIBX) - A West Winfield man found himself in police custody around 3 this morning. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office say Deputies stopped 21-year-old Ryan Demorest near the entrance of the WalMart Distribution Center in the Town of Marcy. Officials say Demorest was preparing to climb an adjacent fence, leading to a car scrap yard, with the intention of stealing a tire for his truck. They say the suspect was found in possession of larceny tools. Demorest was charged with Attempted Larceny and Possession of Burglar Tools.
