Shooting at Wilson Memorial Hospital Near Binghamton

A police officer is among those shot at Wilson Memorial Hospital near Binghamton, New York this morning.

UPDATE: 03/31/3014 11:29am Police have confirmed that the police officer has been killed  The suspect is in critical condition.

Early reports indicated two people may have been hit by gunfire shortly after 7 a.m. in the area of Harrison Street near Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Johnson City.

Several reports indicated that one of the people involved in the shooting was a police officer.

Police from numerous agencies have gathered near the hospital and medical buildings near the imaging facility on Harrison Street have been evacuated.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
