New York State Police recently conducted two enforcement initiatives to crackdown on aggressive and distracted driving.

Troopers wrote near 11,000 speeding tickets during "Speed Week" and more than 3,400 tickets for distracted driving offenses during "Operation Hang Up."

Governor Andrew Cuomo says the results show many drivers are still not getting the message that distracted and aggressive behavior behind the wheel has no place on New York's roadways.

"Speed Week" took place April 17th through 24th and "Operation Hang Up" was held from April 10th through April 15th.
