Many people will be back in Utica this weekend for the first time in a while for the city's 45th running of the Boilermaker Road Race, and some new changes downtown will open some eyes, and probably get some people driving the wrong way.
A New Hartford High School student has won the right to sing the National Anthem at this Sunday's Boilermaker Post Race Party. 15-year-old Brooke Scarchilli, a freshman at NHCS, was one of nine finalists in WIBX's Boilermaker National Anthem Contest.
This is Boilermaker week in the Utica area and there will be several events leading up to this weekend's big event. Tuesday is also the last chance to submit your vote in the Post Race Party Anthem Singer Contest as voting ends on June 5th at 11:59 p.m. (tonight).
