Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente and Herkimer County Board of Legislators Chairman Jim Bono are calling for the elimination of the state’s fiber optic fee.
Herkimer County's Department of Health announced their highest number yet of new positive COVID-19 cases on Saturday, with 41 new positive cases. That brings the total number of active positive cases to a record 311 and and a total of 901 since the pandemic began.
Like many other counties in Upstate New York, Herkimer County had flattened the curve on COVID-19 and was seeing only a few cases on a daily basis. That seems to have changed as coronavirus is increasing dramatically throughout the Mohawk Valley and Central New York.
