The "Gift Of Music" program collected in excess of 60 musical instruments to be refurbished for local school music programs. On June 21st, more than 35 of those instruments were presented to the Thomas Proctor High School music program.

In May, Townsquare Media partnered with Samco Music of Dolgeville to collect and refurbish musical instruments to help local schools through the "Gift Of Music" program. At the May 14th collection event at Sangertown Square Mall, more than 60 musical instruments were collected for local school music programs.

Dozens of the instruments donated were in need of repair, and Dolgeville-based Samco music donated time, equipment, and expertise to refurbish the instruments into playable condition for the Utica City School District.

After refurbishment, more than 35 of those instruments were presented to Thomas Proctor High School on June 21st. Ray Falchi, Principal of Thomas Proctor High School; Band Director Alex Wronka and members of the Thomas Proctor High School Band were present to receive the instruments. Band Director Alex Wronka led the band through a few songs to try the new instruments in a special performance. The remaining instruments that could be refurbished are expected to be delivered within the week to the high school.
