UPD Charge Woman For Larceny And Crack Pipe

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica police are reporting the arrest of a suspect accused of stealing from Price Chopper on 50 Auert Avenue. Officials say, 28-year-old Tara Fletcher was witnessed stealing female hygiene products around 5:34 yesterday afternoon, and was detained by a store employee as she attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.

Utica Police Officers who arrived on the scene report that the suspect had a crack pipe that contained crack cocaine residue. Fletcher is charged with 7th Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Petit Larceny. Officials say the suspect will answer the charges at a later date in Utica City Court.
