US Gymnastics, Swimmers Capture More Olympic Gold
America captured more gold at the Rio Olympics on Tuesday as US gymnasts and swimmers outperformed the world's best.
The women's gymnastic team of Alexandra Raisman, Madison Kocian, Lauren Hernandez, Gabrielle Douglas and Simone Biles (pictured above) topped Russia by an impressive eight-point margin to take gold. It's the second consecutive Olympic gold for team USA.
Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian in history, has more gold to add to his trophy case. He won the individual 200-meter butterfly, then took gold as part of the American four-by-200-meter freestyle relay team.
Meanwhile, Katie Ledecky took another gold in the women's 200-meter freestyle on Tuesday after winning gold in the 400-meter freestyle earlier this week.
Overall, Team USA leads the medal count with 26 through four days of the Olympic competition, including nine golds.
