Utica College has been awarded a nearly $122,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.

The grant will fund a three year project and marks the first time Utica College has received a grant from the NSF in nearly 15 years..

Joseph Ribaudo, associate professor of physics at UC, will  conduct research with students to study how stars and galaxies are formed.

The grant will provide research opportunities for several undergraduate students, as well as laboratory activities for undergraduate education.

The undergraduate students will also have the chance to present their work at state and national conferences

The grant funding will run through November of 2020.
