Utica Councilman Offers New Service for Veteran Funerals

Veteran and Utica Councilman Mark Williamson has started a new service to honor the brave men and women who made the decision to serve their country. 'TAPS Our Duty' is the name of the company and it's been inspired by the song of the same name written in Utica, NY.

TAPS Our Duty is a patent pending "Military Wake Configuration Rental Service." Basically, Williamson and his team will help assist in the dressing of the casket at the funeral home to look the best it possibly can while honoring the branch of the military that soldier served in.

The service also includes a free grave marker and triangle flag holder to keep that cherished possession safe for years.
