Vernon Man Wins New York Cyber Security Competition

A Vernon man is the winner in New York's Cyber Aces Competition, a contest held to help identify individuals who are qualified to work in the state's cyber industry.

Kevin Stilwell took first place in the competition.

40 competitors were chosen to compete in the online championship from a field of more than one-thousand candidates.

Stilwell will share $10,000 in prize money with the second and third place finishers.

He's also been invited to participate in the "Panopoly" competition at the New York State Cyber Security Conference in Albany next month.
