Village Of Richfield Springs Survives Dissolution Vote

It was a landslide by all accounts.  The residents of the Otsego county Village of Richfield Springs voted 288 to 48 against dissolving their town.

Former county legislator Alex Shields petitioned the citizens to close down the village, claiming that it would save about $200,000 a year.

Mayor Ronald Frohne took issue with that and residents apparently agreed with him.
