The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce named its 2014 Business of the Year Award winners on Wednesday and among those honored were WIBX 950 and its Townsquare Media sister stations Big Frog 104, Lite 98.7 and Oldiez 96.1.

The annual event had the feel of a Utica pep rally with those in attendance chanting U-ti-ca, to the theme of Queen's We Will Rock You, prompted by a slideshow of local events presented by chamber executive director Pamela Matt.

National pollster John Zogby gave a keynote highlighting some of the many who've invested in the area, specifically those, he said, who have done so to help the area, not because they are motivated to help themselves. They included Tim Hardiman of The Tailor and The Cook, and Ryan Miller who is one of a handful of people behind TEDxUtica talks.

The chamber named four Business of the Year winners:

Business with over 50 employees
Adirondack Bank

Not-for-profit with over 50 employees
Human Technologies Corporation

Business with 50 employees or fewer
Townsquare Media

Not-for-profit with 50 employees or fewer
The Good News Foundation of CNY, Inc.
