Will Higher Ticket Prices Stop You from Going to the Movies?

The price of a movie ticket rose slightly in 2014, and the same is expected for 2015.

In the past year the average movie ticket cost about $8.17, that is up four cents from the previous year.  And, while that is a far cry from the average price of 36-cents per ticket in 1948, according to the National Association of Theatre Owners, the increase has been relatively modest over the years.

Would an increase in ticket prices keep you from going to the movies?
