A Binghamton woman is facing several charges after she allegedly showed up at the Johnson City Police Department, drunk and asking for a police escort to the hospital a few blocks away.

Village Police say 43-year-old Tuesday Dantzler reportedly drove to the police station and said she needed the escort but would not tell the officer why and she became uncooperative.

Police say they watched her walk out to the parking lot and appeared intoxicated and tried to get into her vehicle.

The officer told her she could not drive and she had to be restrained.

Dantzler is charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, unlicensed operation of a vehicle and failure to submit to a breath test.

She has been ordered to appear in village court later this month.
