KNOX, N.Y. (AP) — Police in upstate New York say a crash involving a motorcycle and a car has left one person dead and another seriously injured.

WTEN-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2eJX1d5 ) the crash happened around 4:35 p.m. Thursday in Knox. Police say a 28-year-old Delanson man driving a motorcycle failed to navigate a corner and crossed into oncoming traffic.

Investigators say the motorcycle collided head-on with a car driven by a 66-year-old Guilderland woman. Police say the man's passenger, a 27-year-old Cobleskill woman, was thrown from the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was taken to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the car was not injured.
