14-Year-Old Amish Boy Injured In Herkimer County Horse and Buggy Crash
An Amish boy is recovering following a Horse and Buggy crash in Herkimer County.
According to State Police, 14-year-old Samuel Miller pulled out of a private residence operating the horse-drawn buggy.
As Miller pulled out, he drove into the direct path of a 2008 Chevy pickup being driver by 28-year-old Jeffrey Yaworski of Newport.
The horse then dragged the buggy a short distance before the buggy broke free and came to rest in the roadway.
Miller was transported to St. Elizabeth's and was ultimately transferred to Upstate Medical Center for a skull and facial fractures.
Miller is in stable condition and Mr. Yaworksi was not injured in the crash. No tickets have yet been issued in the crash.
