The five candidates vying for the Rome mayor's office have all appeared recently on WIBX First News with Keeler in the Morning to talk about their campaigns and vision for the city.

Thursday September 10, is primary day. Michael Brown, Louis Daniello and Ramona Smith will face off in a Democratic primary. Earlier this year, the city's Democratic committee voted to back Diane Martin Grande, but she has dropped out of the race, the Rome Sentinel reported this summer. Jacqueline Izzo has been endorsed by the city's Republican party, which opted to back her over incumbent Joseph Fusco.
