Accident Snaps Telephone Pole

A Munnsville woman suffered minor injuries when she crashed her car into a telephone pole on Route 5 in Vernon.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 64-year old Mary Stewart was trapped in her car for about 45 minutes after the pole and power lines fell on top of her vehicle.

She was taken to the hospital with a minor leg injury.

Stewart was ticketed for speed not reasonable and prudent for road conditions.
