During a meeting this week, Congressman Richard Hanna met with representatives from the U.S. Army and DFAS, where they guaranteed that DFAS Rome is not in jeopardy of closing or being moved.

Hanna said he was assured that the personnel and processes currently at DFAS in Rome are safe for the foreseeable future.

The Army says there is no plan to shut down or significantly impact the the workforce of any DFAS site.

Hanna was also promised that an Army financial management study will not lead to the transfer of any roles managed by DFAS employees or the replacement of civilian positions by military personnel.
