Boy, 4, Dies After Being Found Facedown in Pool

BETHEL, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a 4-year-old boy has died after he was found floating facedown in an upstate New York bungalow complex pool over the weekend.

The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports (http://bit.ly/29xzJlx ) 4-year-old Shimon Weiz had been apparently missing for about five minutes when his mother found him in about two feet of water on Sunday in Bethel in Sullivan County.

His father and another man pulled him from the water and started CPR before the boy was taken to a hospital. Police say they learned Monday morning that the boy had died.

The circumstances surrounding the boy's death remain under investigation.
