A highly regarded prospect has been called up from the Utica Comets to the Vancouver Canucks.

Team officials announced Monday that 22-year-old Adam Gaudette was headed up to the NHL club. In four games with the AHL's Comets this season, Gaudette registered two goals and two assists. He scored his first AHL goal this past Friday in Utica's 4-3 loss to Charlotte. The following night he lit the lamp and assisted on two more goals as Utica defeated Toronto 7-4. Gaudette was recently highlighted by Vancouver publication The Province in their Canucks' prospect tracker.

Gaudette, of Braintree, Massachusetts, of appeared in five NHL games with Vancouver last season.
