An emotional Alex Rodriguez revealed in a press conference Monday that the past seven months had been a “nightmare, probably the worst time of my life,“ but refused to go into specifics about his suspension by Major League Baseball for the remainder of the current season and all of next year for using performance-enhancing drugs. He did, however, concede, “I’m sure there’s been mistakes along the way.“ Rodriguez,the game’s highest paid player, was jeered by fans when he later stepped up to the plate against the Chicago White Sox.
