Genesis Group Hosts Herkimer County Summit

The Genesis Group hosted a Herkimer County Summit at Herkimer College on Tuesday night.

The summit was held to identify and discuss issues and opportunities pertaining to Herkimer County in the areas of economic development, education, healthcare and tourism.

Ray Durso, Executive Director of the Genesis Group, says the summit is an opportunity for the community to come together and discuss the future of Herkimer County

Some of the topics discussed included what can be done to make Herkimer County become a tourist destination and what effect will the new hospital in Utica have on the county.

The summit was attended by both concerned residents and elected officials.
