The American Heart Association held its Go Red for Women Luncheon at Harts Hill Inn in Whitesboro on Wednesday.

The event is held to raise funds for the Go Red For Women Campaign to help fight heart disease and stroke in women.

Speakers included Cheryl Murdock of New Hartford, a 9-year heart transplant survivor.

The event also recognized the 2019 Go Red Survivor Class.  The class featured five local women who are survivors of heart disease and stroke:

  • Donna DeArmond
  • Melanie DeFazio
  • Katie Manella
  • Angel Whoolheater
  • Cheryl Murdock

About 400 people attended the luncheon.
