A former one-term Oneida County Legislator wants to return to office.

Democrat David Gordon has announced his candidacy for the 19th District seat on the Board of Legislators.

Gordon says the City of Utica deserves an active legislator who will fight to ensure Utica gets its fair share of county tax revenue. And he says Utica should get a chunk of the Oneida Indian Nation gaming revenue.

Gordon also believes the city should receive money from the county to repair its streets and other infrastructure.

The 19th District seat is currently held by Republican Ed Welsh.
