Herkimer Teen Arrested on Felony Assault Charge

Herkimer, NY (WIBX) - A Herkimer teen has been charged with felony assault after it's believed he hit two young girls with a metal tow chain.

According to police, 19-year old Ryan Robellard was arrested after police responded to the female's shouts for help.

Herkimer Police caught up with Robellard on a neighboring street, he and his accomplice, 20-year old James Williams Junior from Ilion, were taken into custody.

Robellard is charged with Assault in the second degree, a felony; Williams is charged with Assault in the third degree, Menacing and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

Both female victims received emergency medical treatment while at the Herkimer Police Department, both men were arraigned and sent to the Herkimer County Jail.
