Inaugural Chicken Wing 5K Run Scheduled During Wing Festival

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Ordering the wings hot won't be the only way to break a sweat at this year's National Buffalo Wing Festival.

This year's event will feature the inaugural Chicken Wing 5K.

Festival organizers say it'll give festival-goers a chance to work off some of the 25 tons of wings they're expected to consume — including some at water stations along the race course.

The annual chicken wing festival takes place at Coca-Cola Stadium in Buffalo the weekend of Sept. 3 and 4. The 5K takes place on Sunday.
