Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Utica School District has a new Superintendent.The School Board chose Bruce Karam for the position at Tuesday night's board meeting.

Karam had been serving as the district's interim superintendent and has worked in the district for 20 years.

Karam says he'll be visting schools in the district to talk with students, faculty and staff.

He also wants to meet with parents and the community to hear their concerns.

Karam replaces James Willis, who left to become Superintendent of the Peekskill School District at the end of June.
