- Pete Mondi, the former operator of Pete Mondi's BBQ on River Road in Marcy says he wants to tell customers why he's out of business. He claims after a friend 'went over the head' of county health officials to ask for a break, his stand was targeted. Mondi says he ultimately decided to shut down after getting hit with $44,000 in fines after passing his three previous inspections.
