Man Dies After Falling From Roof In Schuyler

SCHUYLER, N.Y. (AP) — State police say a 59-year-old man has died after falling from a roof he was working on in Herkimer County.

Troopers say Onoroto Bommarito of Schuyler was installing a metal roof Saturday morning at 10:30 when the woman he was working with started to slide and called out for help. He went to help her and they both slid and fell.

Onoroto Bommarito fell head first and the woman, identified as 39-year-old Christine Bommarito, landed on her feet. They were both taken to a Utica hospital, where he was pronounced dead and she is being treated for multiple leg fractures.

State police were unsure how the two were related.
