A sold out crowd at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino was treated to what has to be a the candidate, at this point, of the boxing's fight of the year.

The featured bout on HBO's Boxing After Dark, Lucas “Macho” Matthysse (37-3, 34 Ko’s) took on Ruslan “Siberian Rocky” Provodnikov (24-4, 17 KO’s) in front of 4,700 buzzing fans in 12 rounds of non-stop action. Fans were left standing in applause and wanting more. The fight went to the scorecards with one judge calling the fight a draw and the other two giving the majority decision by a score of 115-113 to Lucas Matthysse, who improved his record to (37-3, 34 KO’s).
