A native of New Hartford is nominated for a Grammy this year, and the radio stations in his hometown are starting a Twitter campaign to lobby the music industry to honor him.

Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart are nominated for Best Blues Album for "Seesaw," produced under the J&R Adventures label.

Bonamassa is said to have received his first guitar at the age of four.  By seven he was playing rock and blues.  He was long considered to be a child prodigy, opening for the legendary B.B. King at the age of twelve.  Many in his hometown and the music industry believe that Bonamassa has previously been snubbed by the mainstream music industry.  WIBX morning show host Bill Keeler says "After countless number one albums Joe Bonamassa deserves a Grammy victory."

To that end WIBX First News with Keeler in the Morning is launching a Twitter campaign urging The Recording Academy to make it a win for Seesaw.  To participate tweet #GRAMMY4SEESAW to @TheGRAMMYs no later than January 20, 2014. If you want to tweet Bonamassa and Hart as well you can do that too: @JBonamassa and @BethHart.

You can also petition The Recording Academy by signing the online petition.

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will air Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 8:00pmET on CBS.
