Congressman Richard Hanna is encouraging small business owners in New York to speak up when it comes to the development of new regulations.

The House's Small Business Committee recently launched a new website that will alert business owners of proposed legislation that could impact them.

Locally, the website provides an avenue for many businesses that may not normally have their opinions heard.

"My goal is to help the many small businesses across Central New York and the Southern Tier who don't have lobbyists and teams of lawyers to navigate the federal bureaucracy and thrive under reasonable, business-friendly policies," Hanna said.

Hanna says the website simplifies the process of tracking regulations and submitting comments, while allowing the Committee to connect with small businesses through e-mail and social media.
