OHSWA Household Hazardous Waste Facility Opens April 1st
The Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility will open for the season on Monday, April 1st.
Residents can drop off their hazardous waste at the Authority's EcoDrop Utica on Leland Avenue Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at no charge.
Households are limited to 14 wet gallons and/or 20 dry pounds per trip. Only liquid paint is accepted.
Paint, chemicals and other household hazardous waste will be accepted through September 30th.
Since the Authority began collecting household hazardous waste 27 years ago, over one million gallons of paint and chemicals have been disposed of.
