Police: Syracuse Boy’s Head Injury Likely A Gunshot Wound

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Police in central New York are investigating the mysterious head injury of a 14-year-old boy who was found unconscious inside a home in Syracuse.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Wolf Street around 12:30 p.m. Thursday following reports that a teen had been injured.

The victim was found unconscious and suffering from a head injury that authorities believe is a gunshot wound.

The boy was rushed to Upstate University Hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident. Police have no suspect or motive at this time.
