Renovated Health Center Opens At Martin Luther King School
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held recently at the the School Based Health Center located at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School in Utica.
The Center is operated by the Utica City School District and Upstate Cerebral Palsy.
The SBHC, which is for all students at the school, has moved into a newly renovated space featuring new exams rooms and equipment to serve the health care needs of students at MLK.
The Center is a full service doctor’s office that is located inside area schools that offers services to enrolled children at no cost to the families.
According to the parent of a child receiving services, “The School Based Health Center has been a great asset to my daughter. She can receive medical care during school hours without having to leave school. We are so privileged to have this resource available. I encourage all parents to enroll their children today.”
