The City of Rome has dedicated a parking space in the City Hall parking lot to the Wounded Warriors.

The parking space is designated by purple striping with a Wounded Warrior sign.

Rome Mayor Jacqueline Izzo was joined by John Connors of the Wounded Warriors and members of the Rome VFW Post for today's dedication.

"We are extremely pleased to participate in this national program to recognize Wounded Warriors by designating a parking space in a municipally owned facility parking lot for Wounded warrior use.  We are very grateful for all our Veterans who have given selfishly in the service of their country." said Izzo.

It's the second Wounded Warriors parking space in the City.  There's also a parking space at the Kennedy Arena.
