Rome Mayor Jackie Izzo on State of the City Address

Rome's first-ever female mayor, currently in her first term delivered another State of the City address this week.  Mayor Izzo talked about the progress made after winning an economic development award from New York State and the focused efforts on redeveloping downtown.

Izzo said that when complete, the city will have replaced almost all of the damage done by Urban Renewal in the 1960's,
