Rome Memorial Hospital has a new leader.

The hospital's Board of Trustees has selected David Lundquist as the next President and Chief Executive Officer.

“From among three exceptional candidates, the board selected Dave because he is a visionary with the experience and qualities needed to bring people together to plan for our future and move the organization forward as we enter a new era of healthcare,” Board Chariman Dr. Chester Patrick said.  “He has extensive experience as a trusted strategic thinker leading both small and large organizations through challenging transitions.”

Lundquist, who will replace interim President and CEO Darlene Burns, will join the hospital's leadership team on March 1st.

For nearly 25 years, Lundquist has served as CEO of hospitals in Oklahoma, New Jersey and New York.

He's most recently been at the Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley in Kingston.
