Sauquoit Couple Charged With Numerous Felonies

Sauquoit, NY (WIBX) - A Sauquoit couple is facing numerous felony charges following a three-month investigation by New Hattford Police.

Police say 50-year old Tim King allegedly stole bank checks from a former tenant at his home, forged the checks and had his wife, 46-year old Laurel King, cash them at several banks.

The checks totaled over $5,000.

Tim King was charged with grand larceny, scheme to defraud, six counts of forgery and six counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

His wife was arrested on five counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, grand larceny and scheme to defraud.
