Senator Griffo Honored By Health Friends

State Senator Joseph Griffo has been honored as a HealthFriend of the Year by HealthFriends Inc.

The HealthFriend of the Year award was created to recognize people and organizations that use their standing in the community to effect positive change that improves the health and well being of the residents of the region.

Congressman Anthony Brindisi and Debbie Gibbs, a principal clerk with the Oneida County District Attorney's Office, were also honored by the organization.

“I am humbled to be recognized as a 2019 HealthFriend of the Year,” Deputy Minority Leader Griffo said. “HealthFriends Inc. is a tremendous organization that works hard every day to improve the health status of underserved residents of Herkimer and Oneida counties. I also would like to congratulate Congressman Brindisi and Debbie Gibbs on being recognized as well.”

HealthFriends Inc. is a community partnership founded by the Mohawk Valley Network Inc., St. Francis de Sales Parish Utica and Catholic Charities of Herkimer County.
