Seward Attends Albany Gun Rally

Thousands attended a pro gun rally at the State Capitol yesterday, including Senator James Seward.

Seward says passing a bill that diminishes Second Amendment rights and makes criminals out of law abiding gun owners fails to address the real cause of gun violence.

In light of recent tragedies, Senator Seward says something must be done and he supports laws to crack down on those who obtain guns illegally and commit crimes with firearms.

He also says regulations to prevent the dangerously mentally ill access to guns are needed.

Seward voted against the NY SAFE Act and is supporting legislation to repeal the law.
