Police in New Hartford are looking for a suspicious man who was reportedly attempting to lure two athletes into the woods during a Cross Country meet at Perry Junior High in New Hartford on Saturday, according to authorities. Upon recommendation by police, school officials cancelled the meet.

The New Hartford Central School Board announced at a special board of education meeting on Tuesday that Superintendent of Schools Robert Nole has resigned, effective immediately April 1st. The board voted to accept the resignation by a vote of 6-1.

"This morning, we learned that an individual at Hughes Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19," Nole said in the letter...

Dear New Hartford School District Board and Administration, As a taxpayer (and the spouse of a teacher), I wonder if this investment we made to own a home and live and pay high taxes in New Hartford was a good one. The district, in the midst of a public crisis, seems to be out of control and unraveling.

At the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday at New Hartford Central School, Superintendent Robert Nole announced that their district will reopen on September 9th, fully remote for six weeks. The policy will be reviewed in mid October.
