Two Sauquoit Men Accused Of Burglarizing New Hartford Home

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - Two Sauquoit men are in jail charged with numerous violations, following a burglary in the Town of New Hartford. 23-year-old Anthony Mandia and 19-year-old Kristofer Torchia are accused of forcing their way into a home on Emerson Road--and making off with cash. Officials credit vigilant neighbors for assisting them in their investigation, and subsequent arrest of the suspects. One suspect admitted to burglarizing the same residence earlier this year. Both men were taken to Oneida County Correctional Facility with bail set at one-thousand dollars each.

Mandia is charged with two counts of Burglary in the 2nd degree, a Class C Felony, 2 Counts Petit Larceny, two Class A Misdemeanor and Criminal Mischief in the 4th, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Torchia is facing one count of Burglary in the 2nd degree, a Class C Felony and 1 Count Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor.
