A Utica man is facing several charges after he allegedly violated an order of protection.

According to New Hartford Police, 24-year-old Demtricue Hunter was locate inside the Oxford Road residence of his ex-girlfriend when officers arrived on scene.

Hunter allegedly entered the home unlawfully and while inside would not let his girlfriend leave. It is also alleged that he physically harassed her. Hunter was taken into custody and charged with Burglary, Two counts of Criminal Contempt (one a Felony and one a misdemeanor), Stalking and Harassment.

Hunter was processed and held at the Oneida County Jail for a future arraignment on a $35,000 bail recommendation by the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office.
