The presentation of the 2015-16 Utica School District budget has been delayed by a week.

Superintendent Bruce Karam was scheduled to present the budget to the school board On Tuesday night.

But after the district received its state aid runs late in the day on Tuesday, Karam says he decided to delay the presentation so the budget can be re-worked based on the actual amount of state aid they'll be getting.

Karam says the delay will allow the district to take a look at the numbers.

Utica is slated to receive a $4 million increase in state aid.

Karam will present the budget to the school board next Tuesday.

The public will vote on the budget on May 19th.
