Vegas Women Arrested In New Hartford On Theft Charges

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - Two women from Las Vegas, NV found themselves in the County lockup accused of stealing from Sears. The two were apprehended after a brief foot chase in a residential area. 22-year-old Joanne D. Henderson and 31-year-old Sebbra J. Kerr are charged with Petit Larceny and Resisting Arrest.

New Hartford police say after making off with more than $170.00 of clothing from the store, the women were followed by store security across Seneca Turnpike and into a residential area, where Kerr threatened them with a large stick--she's facing an extra charge for the crime. However, officials say both women could face additional charges for other stolen items allegedly found in their possession. The pair are in Oneida County Jail in lieu of bail. They were arraigned in the Town of New Hartford Court.
