Vernon Downs Opens For The 2016 Season On Friday

Vernon Downs is getting ready to kick-off its 63rd season of live harness racing on Friday.

Racing is set to begin with a 6:45 post time. A fireworks show will follow the final race of the night at about 10:00

The racing season will run through November 5th, with racing primarily Thursday through Saturday, with a few Sunday and holiday Monday races planned.

A concert will be held on August 12th featuring Grand Funk Railroad, with proceeds benefiting the Food Bank of Central New York.
